Pumpkin Spice Drinks
The Pumpkin Spice Syrup can be added to tons of drinks, making the delicious coffee-shop-style beverages you expect at a national chain. It can be added to lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos and even straight coffee or tea. We do recommend using a dairy product (the creamier the better) to bring out the taste, which means that you have to use less syrup per drink than simply mixing it with black coffee or espresso.
Some people have expressed concern over the taste being ‘artificial’, which tends to happen when too much syrup is added. The pumpkin spice syrup isn’t meant to be the focus of the drink, but is meant to add a pumpkin flavour with a cinnamon and nutmeg kick to it. Often, we find that less is more with the Torani Pumpkin Spice.
The best part about buying Torani’s Pumpkin Spice is that unlike making your own pumpkin-reduction with spices, the flavours have already been balanced and perfected. The ingredients used in a home-made DIY pumpkin spice syrup often end up costing as much as a single bottle of Torani, plus the time commitment to actually boil it down in a pan and hopefully get it tasting good.
Looking for something thicker? Make sure to check out the Pumpkin Pie Sauce, which makes a great topping on desserts. The thicker consistency of the sauce means it needs more vigorous mixing in drinks, but it also has more of a true ‘pumpkin pie’ flavour as opposed to this syrup, which is a spice.
